All Fall Down is a novel by Ally Carter and is about a girl named Grace who is certain that her mom was murdered and will stop at nothing to find out who killed her. This is the first book of the Embassy Row series which has two other books, See How They Run and Take the Key and Lock Her Up. Grace is back at the US Embassy in Adria (a fictional country) with her grandfather who is the US ambassador for Adria for the first time in three years. Grace meets some new people while she is there and she makes a new friend named Rosie. At the end, Grace eventually finds out who the killer is but it is not who she is expecting.
This novel is captivating in many ways. It has unexpected plot twists that no one would see coming which make you want to keep reading. It took me a while to get interested in this book but once I made it past the first few chapters I didn't want to put it down. Every time something exciting happened it left me on the edge of my seat wanting to find out what the outcome of the current situation would be. I really like the mystery aspect of this book which adds a good amount of suspense throughout the book. I enjoyed this book a lot, and plan to read the other two books in the series later on.
I would rate this book an 8.5 out of 10. It was an enjoyable novel with interesting plot twists that added a lot to the story. The first few chapters were a bit uneventful but after I got past those it became more engaging. All Fall Down has a nice mystery aspect to it which leads me to recommend this book to people who like mystery and realistic fiction novels. The events of this book could happen in real life and there is some mystery mixed into it. I enjoyed this book a lot and I think a lot of other people would too.
